Robot moon base in 2025
Japan dreams of robot moon base & Honda to develop automobiles for the moon.
Japan wants to help build a lunar base and populate it with advanced versions of today's humanoid robots by around 2025.
As part of the plan, Japan would use advanced robotic technologies to help build the moon base, while redeveloped versions of today's humanoid robots, such as Honda Motor Co. Ltd.'s Asimo and Sonys Qrio, could work in the moon's inhospitable environment in place of astronauts.
"Honda could develop automobiles for the moon. Many products that are made here on earth can be adapted to operate on the moon," Tachikawa, president of the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) said.
Sooner or later one can go on a jolly ride to the moon.
Honda is going to take us "to the moon and back". ....let us hope so.
Its a long way to go.

No Honda diesels, no problem
Honda has no plans to bring diesels into the United States. This, despite Honda senior managing director Michiyoshi Hagino’s claim in April that the company would offer diesel cars in the States in the near future, and despite senior vice president John Mendel’s showing of a television commercial about diesels at a recent Automotive News seminar in California. Honda’s home-market diesel engines have won kudos for being among the most fuel-efficient and silent diesel engines on the market. But you needn’t worry America when you have Honda’s hybrid, fuel cell and petrol cars.

The new Civic is coming...
2006 Honda Civic
The 2006 Civic line-up will include a 4-door sedan, 2-door coupe and Si Coupe, Hybrid and the natural gas GX. The new Civic is powered by a 200 hp, 16-valve, DOHC, I-VTEC engine and has a limited slip differential,18-inch wheels and tires, 4 wheels discs, cross-drilled rotors and 4-piston Brembo calipers.

Honda to redesign Civic Hybrid
Honda Motor Co., the world's second-biggest maker of gasoline-electric autos, is redesigning its Civic Hybrid and improving the small car's fuel economy to try to win U.S. sales from Toyota Motor's Prius.
The new hybrid model will have more significant differences in exterior and interior styling and options to distinguish it from the gasoline-only model. Honda is also planning to boost the fuel economy.

Honda to up U.S. production
A Hundred Thousand more...
A hundred thousand more Honda Vehicles will hit U.S. roads in two years. Honda will raise its annual output in North America to 1.5 million by March 2008. Presently, Honda operates four assembly plants in North America.
Honda plans to augument capacity at its Alabama plant to 400,000 units from 300,000. It will alsoshift production of the Pilot SUV to Alabama and increase production of the Ridgeline pickup.
